
As Deputy Mayor of International Affairs for Mayor Karen Bass, Erin Bromaghim leads a team bringing global opportunities to Angelenos and connecting the awesomeness of Los Angeles to economic and cultural partners around the world. Their portfolio includes deep expertise on international trade and investment, international relations, educational and cultural exchange, the Sustainable Development Goals and the green economy, city diplomacy, gender equity, and major events including the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Most recently, she served as the Mayor’s Director of Olympic and Paralympic Development, focused on realizing the City's plans to make Los Angeles more sustainable, inclusive, resilient, and innovative as we prepare to host the 2028 Games and create an enduring legacy for all Angelenos. Concurrently, she held the roles of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation Fellow for the Sustainable Development Goals, using the framework of the United Nation's Agenda 2030 to align, measure, and track the City's plans and commitments, and as the Truman Center for National Policy’s first-ever Visiting Senior Fellow for City and State Diplomacy. Prior to joining the City, she spent 13 years with the Department of Defense, managing complex defense, intelligence, and security reform efforts.
